Car Care Guide
This Old Car
Yabba-dabba-dooster Fred Flintstone never worried about flat tires, bad batteries or worn brake shoes. The Flintstone family car rolled down the street through the courtesy of Fred’s two feet. For the rest of us, keeping an old car roadworthy isn’t quite so carefree.
Last year the average age of cars on the road hit an all-time high: 10.8 years. With about 240 million cars and light trucks on the road, that means a lot of vehicles are in need of TLC – and a lot of other stuff.
Drivers trying to coax every trouble-free mile they can from aging vehicles are good news for suppliers of aftermarket products, independent repair facilities, dealer service departments and the host of local retail and service outlets that sell oil changes, detailing, car washes and DIY car care supplies.
The 2012 Car Care issue from Content That Works strikes a chord with readers who need to keep their rides on the road running smooth (and looking good) and with the companies who want to reach them.
Click on the link to the left to download a low-resolution pdf of the issue, a visual aid that can help grab advertisers’ attention fast. And, have a yabba dabba doo time.
